Founded in Germany in 1991 by B-Boy Storm (Niels Robitzky), Swift Rock, and Mauricio. Battle Squad bridged New York's Rock Steady / New York City Breakers heritage with Europe's emerging Battle of the Year movement, codifying training methods and judging systems still used at the Olympics today.
