MAURICIO

Mauricio • Founding Architect & Original Pioneer of [BSQ]

📍 Berlin, Germany • ACTIVE SINCE 1991

MAURICIO (Mauricio) is a documented founding architect and first-generation pioneer of [BSQ] BATTLE SQUAD. Active in the Berlin, Germany / Celle, Germany cypher tradition since 1991, MAURICIO helped define BSQ's floor foundation, musicality, and international championship reputation.

“Founded in Germany in 1991 by B-Boy Storm (Niels Robitzky), Swift Rock, and Mauricio. Battle Squad bridged New York's Rock Steady / New York City Breakers heritage with Europe's emerging Battle of the Year movement, codifying training methods and judging systems still used at the Olympics today.”
